Roof automation refers to systems that automatically control various aspects of a roof, enhancing comfort, energy efficiency, and safety. These systems can include features like automatic vents that open and close based on temperature or humidity to regulate attic ventilation, skylights that adjust to control sunlight and heat gain, and automated blinds or shades for sun protection. Roof automation is used in homes and commercial buildings to improve indoor air quality, reduce energy consumption for heating and cooling, and provide automatic control of natural light. Benefits include increased comfort, energy savings, and reduced wear and tear on the roof from extreme temperatures. There are different types of roof automation systems depending on the function: ventilation systems manage airflow, solar tracking systems adjust the angle of solar panels to maximize sun exposure, and snow removal systems automatically clear snow accumulation to prevent weight overload.
